 Small Business Lending Program

Do you need money for your small business? Are you looking to expand your current business or seeking a small business loan for a new start up? The Business Development Program may be able to assist you even if you were turned down by your bank.

Loan requests may range from $200 up to $250,000 with the exception of the United States Department of Agriculture‘s (USDA) Rural Microenterprise Assistance Program (RMAP) sponsored loans, which are capped at $50,000 and the Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) sponsored loans which are capped at $100,000. Any loan request above $50,000 must have another financial institution involved in the project funding. The borrower is required to have an equity investment, as well. Job creation criteria may apply depending on funding source. Rates and terms vary depending upon each business’ ability to repay and how the loan proceeds are being used. Applicants interested in accessing the RLF must submit a written business plan including cash flow projections, as well as pertinent business and personal financial information. The Business Development Staff is available to assist individuals and businesses in their efforts to compile this data.

Applicants must reside or the business must be located in one of the following seven counties: Adams, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, or Scioto.
